We have been SUPER busy. I know... not a great excuse. But srsly...
#SSSVEDA did not go as planned. We missed some days & it was really hard to just "jump" back on board with the whole thing. If you didn't know #SSSVEDA is Savvy Sexy Social's Vlog Everyday in April / August. Here is the videos we did last round >> SSSVEDA April 2017 Here is the videos we completed this round >> SSSVEDA August 2017
Foreign Exchange Student
Henry is HERE! I am not going to lie. Getting him signed up for school, going supply shopping AND clothes shopping was such an adventure. There are a TON of things he has to get used to. Like: lockers, locks on lockers, switching classes AND homework (lots of homework!). In Brazil they have one classroom & the teacher switch classes. There is really no homework and no lockers. His class in Brazil is about 40 with maybe 400 students in the WHOLE school. Today, Henry's Senior class has 352 students and about 1,200 actual students.
Definitely, an adjustment.
Saying Goodbye to Summer
Our family jam packed a few activities for the end of summer. Both the kids started school & Evie is almost ready for pre-school. Our martial art school also tends to get SUPER busy at back to school time. Families are coming back from summer vacation & new enrollments start coming in. Its super exciting seeing new and old faces on the training floor. Sometimes it means saying goodbye to some of our students too, as they go back to college.
Jeremy and I are participating in the Disney Marathon. That's right... the FULL 26.2 magical miles. So far training has been very successful. We have had two slight set backs but still going full stream ahead. In the month of August, I changed our diet to be more marathon friendly. This means eating more vegetables & more thoughtful about water intake. We have been using the app IHydrate to tracking our water. Hydration is very important when training. Our latest set back was I (Autumn) have been having slight knee pain. Fortunately, the pain is due to a tight quad muscle. This means its totally in our control to fix it. So we started doing yoga almost every night.
